Established in 1983, AFAA demonstrates a commitment to excellence in the fitness industry. Continuing education and recertification as a fitness professional are parts of the requirements of this organization. Maintaining its commitment to providing the latest information, AFAA publishes the American Fitness magazine and provides workshops and home-study programs to fitness professionals around the world.

Amateur Athletic Union

The Amateur Athletic Union seeks to promote the benefits of participating in amateur sports, including Karate. This program offers a lifelong progression of amateur sports to enhance the physical, mental and moral development of athletes. It provides an avenue for competition on a local and national level. AAU promotes a drug-free lifestyle, good sportsmanship, good citizenship and safety.

American Council on Exercise

ACE is one of the largest not-for-profit fitness certifying organizations dedicated to providing supporting research and promoting quality education programs.



Fellowship of Christian Martial Artists

The Fellowship of Christian Martial Artists is an organization designed to unite Christian martial artists and to provide a forum for exchanging ideas, experiences and information. Members in the organization are recognized by the Christian community as offering a spiritual program, while not teaching eastern religions. Training and instruction are provided to members of the organization.


International Dance Education Association

The goal of IDEA is to provide fitness professionals with information, education and representation in the fitness industry. Education is obtained by professionals by participating in workshops, conventions, and home-study courses offering Continuing Education Credits. The organization publishes the IDEA Today and IDEA Personal Trainer magazine filled with the latest research, news, trends and techniques to keep pace with a fast changing industry.


Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate-Do Goshinkai

This prestigious organization is dedicated to the propagation of Goju-Ryu Karate-Do and to the development of true martial arts spirit. The Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do GoshinKai was founded by Master Frank VanLenten, 10th Degree Black Belt, the highest ranked American in traditional Okinawan Karate. This organization registers, awards rank advancement and certification to members.



Pequannock Regional Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber was established in 1993 to increase awareness of, and support for, the business community. This organization is comprised of, but not limited to, Pequannock Township and surrounding area businesses. Its purpose is to preserve competitive enterprise by promoting an understanding of the business community. The Chamber also promotes business growth and development through seminars and lectures.

Ryukyuan Kobudo International

The Ryukyuan Kobudo International is a society for the restoration, preservation and propagation of Ancient Ryukyuan weapons. Founded by Master Frank Van Lenten, membership is open to practitioners of traditional Okinawan weapons. Kobudo rank certification may be awarded by this organization.
